MIT survey: Climate change tops Americans' environmental concerns

Live Earth Case Study

Brand Neutral is the worldwide sustainability strategy and services partner of Live Earth, the worldwide concert series against climate change. With the support of NGO partners like The Climate Group, Stop Climate Chaos (UK), UN DP China/South Africa/Brazil, Climate Action Network Australia (CANA) and World Wildlife Fund and others, and local volunteers around the world, we made Live Earth a resource-efficient, carbon-neutral operation.

We systematically evaluated Live Earth’s energy and resource footprint, recommended reduction and offset strategies, and developed programs to put them into practice.  Brand Neutral’s involvement went far beyond the management of carbon emissions and energy reduction, into areas like waste management and recycling, green procurement, and sustainable logistics and transportation.

Our strategic plan, our resource management programs, and our protocols and training materials made Live Earth the largest zero-net-impact public event in human history, and are serving as green management models for artists, performers, and promoters around the world.

For Live Earth's management, Brand Neutral created the Live Earth Green Guide, to help establish and maintain sustainable policies and in its offices and its 9 global concert venues.  And for Live Earth's performers, and their crews and support staffs, we created the Live Earth Artist Guide, to help them incorporate environmental consciousness and resource reduction into their tours and their personal lives.
